EMG4206 Environmental Planning Studio II

This course covers the strategic and multi-disciplinary nature of broad scale environmental planning including National Physical Plan (NPP) for shaping comprehensive urban and rural development or as a resource management study. Emphasis will be given to scientific inputs and research techniques, interaction of ecological, social, economic and cultural aspects. The application of CAD and GIS techniques will be an integral component of the studio.

Course Objectives:

At the end of this course, students will manage:

  1. To analyse the basic concept of preparing development plan particularly in environmental planning and management
  2. To design site planning development plan according to national planning guidelines
  3. To prepare the report and present the development plan particularly in improving the environmental quality
